Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut provides certified home health care.  Partners In Care provides private pay, not-for-profit home care for over 25 years.

Our CNAs/HHAs assist clients with home health and personal care activities of daily living to help them to remain in their homes.  May also perform household duties. Responsible for recording services provided and obtaining client signatures






Ability to read and write.

CT approved Home Health Aide Program CNA certification.  Homemaker-home care competency evaluation before the provision of homemaker-home care services.

Experience: Previous home care experience preferred.

Skills: Ability to accurately and timely carry out instructions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with patients, families and co-workers. Reliable and motivated, with ability to exercise sound judgment, handle stressful situations, and remain flexible with patient care assignments.

Valid motor vehicle operator's license, reliable personal automobile during business hours preferred, with active automobile insurance coverage. Willingness to utilize public transportation acceptable. 

Available to rotate weekends, holidays, and after-hour coverage as required to meet patient care needs.

Essential Functions

Able to perform the essential functions of caring for patients in their homes.

Environmental Conditions

Occupational Exposure Risk Category A is described as: Exposure to blood, body tissue or fluids working with patients with a wide range of medical problems. Exposure to other hazardous materials such as chemicals, in the treatment of patients. Exposure to sudden fluctuations in temperature and to seasonal conditions in outside weather in the course of traveling to and from patient homes. Exposure to dust and pets in patient homes. Average office environment with normal equipment noise and use of computers and other modern office equipment and technology.
